Snow Cone Serenade just got a spicy update and I've started a game dev newsletter!

Outsiders, welcome!

I'm happy to share the cooles of news with you. First of all, Snow Cone Serenade will be released on March 1st on Steam. Wishlist now to play it for some spicy Achievements.

Wishlist on Steam

Blink, our you'll miss it!

Localization & Bug Fixes

I'm very happy to report that the German localization of Snow Cone Serenade has been released! You'll be able to experience the cozy story with even crazier letters like Ö, Ä, Ü and the mighty ß.

You'll also find lots of bug and typo fixes, optimization, a less performance-heavy dice animation, as well as a brand-new favorite TV-Show to choose from at the beginning of the game. I won't spoil it, though!

Feedback

Making this game has been an absolute blast, and I want to thank everybody for playing and leaving such encouraging feedback. The fine folks over at Arcweave even included Snow Cone Serenade in their Top Indie Games to Wishlist in 2024! (Read here)

"Despite being only an hour long, Snow Cone Serenade makes every second count through meticulously crafted character interactions which, while brief, have notable growth and development that is profoundly impactful."

Makes my heart melt, thank you Arcweave! :)

I'm starting a dev log!

These past few months, I've started to realize that I want to keep making games, even though I'm still relatively new to it. I'm very happy to say, that I'm working on something new already and, that I want to tell you all about my journey! Therefore, I've decided to start sharing my stories on my new website.

midipotion.super.site

I would love to have you over and sit with me. I'm going to share my findings in trying to get a hold of all aspects of game design! That means stories & journals about failing and succeeding at making a game, creating the soundtrack, trailer, art, mechanics and puzzles, as well as my thoughts on doing this weird thing on my own.

It's all right there on the website. You can sign up for the newsletter, to get notified. I'm also giving away a royalty-free audio-pack called The Sounds of Snow Cone to all new subscribers. It's a welcome package of 50+ sounds and musical pieces for you to use freely in your game project. It includes UI sounds for confirmations, buttons, wooshes, bells, six unused or extended score cues from the game, and also five event jingles / stingers. These can help you get some game feel into your UI fast!

I'm checking in on itch for important updates to the game, of course. If you want more than that, I'd be happy to have you over to talk about making games! Stay safe!
